Rich Cummings

Rich began his career working in the nuclear weapons industry as a Training Administrator designing and developing training and qualification programs for fire protection/suppression, hazardous materials, and emergency medical services employees in the early 1990s. In 1995, Rich began working as a Training Analyst at the Salt River Project (SRP), one of the nation’s largest public utilities. In this role, Rich spent his time first in Corporate Training and Development, and then primarily in Electric System Operations. From early 1996 until present day, Rich advanced to a Senior Performance Analyst and eventually joined GE Energy providing consulting services to large investor owned utilities. Rich worked in various capacities at GE Energy, including Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, and Education Services Manager. During his time at GE Energy, Rich provided exceptional services to Distribution Operations and related business in designing job specific learning interventions.

Rich’s background and experience in Distribution Operations is centered around Outage Management and SCADA. Rich’s services extend beyond training solutions into the project management, facilitation and development of business specific standard operating procedures, business process analysis, change management, online performance support, web-based instruction, and much more. In 2003, Rich began to explore the use of web-based learning and specifically the delivery of e-learning as a viable alternative to expensive instructor led classroom and traditional OJT training in the electric system operations control room. Web-based learning has proved to be a cost effective alternative in delivering training solutions to system operators and dispatchers.

In 2007, Rich formed Level Four Solutions Group to grow a learning and software consulting services business that partners with utilities to provide effective training and related IT solutions.
